After passing pressure oil, the hydraulic pump must overcome static friction from standstill to start of motion. That is, after the pressure oil is applied, the output shaft is rotated through a small pre-tensioning corner to overcome the gap between the movable parts and the elastic deformation of the parts, so that the load of the hydraulic pump is in the pre-tension state before starting

Starting mechanical efficiency, also known as starting torque efficiency, refers to the ratio of the starting torque of the hydraulic pump to the theoretical torque when the hydraulic pump is started from a stationary state.

The starting torque and mechanical efficiency of the hydraulic pump are affected by internal friction and torque pulsation. When the output shaft is started at different positions (phase angles), the starting torque is also slightly different.
